Ghost writing

We want you to be able to share your story, but if you don’t want to write it yourself, that is ok, we are here to help!

Introducing….ghost-writing!

What is ghost-writing?

STEP 1: Set up an online, private interview with one of the teen or young adult members of the SOVA team over video chat or the phone.

STEP 2: Pick a mental health topic to write about – some examples below and also on this page!

STEP 3: After the interview, we will write an article about what we talked about.

STEP 4: We will share the article with you and then you can either approve, reject, or change whatever you like or don’t like to make sure the article feels like your own!

Here are some examples questions but feel free to think of your own too:

  • Some people are talking about how social media makes teens feel worse about themselves. Do you agree with that, and why or why not?
  • Could you tell me about a time you figured out a way to reduce your stress?
  • Here’s some song lyrics about mental health from Taylor Swift’s “Back to December.” How do you interpret these lyrics?
    • “And then the cold came, the dark days
When fear crept into my mind.”
